Lucinda Luke joined Carney Badley Spellman in 2013. She is a member of the board of directors. Her practice focuses on labor and employment counseling and litigation, municipal and corporate law. Ms. Luke’s experience spans a broad range of employment and labor issues. She also has extensive experience representing municipal entities.
Ms. Luke counsels clients in all phases of labor and employment relations. She handles a broad range of employment matters including employment contracts, non-competition and confidentiality agreements, employment counseling for start-ups, wages and hour issues, employee policies and handbooks, discrimination and sexual harassment complaints, workplace investigations, employee layoff and termination, and employment litigation. Ms. Luke also handles traditional labor matters ranging from union organizing issues, union elections, unfair labor practice charges, strikes and picketing, grievances and arbitrations. She represents clients in matters in state and federal court as well as before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Washington State Human Rights Commission, Department of Labor, Employment Security Department, and National Labor Relations Board. Her clients include private and public sector employers and management-level employees. Ms. Luke is general counsel for the Port of Kennewick and Tri-Cities Community Health.
Ms. Luke was formerly with the firm of Cowan Moore Luke & Carrier from 1997 to June 2013. She served as the managing partner of that general practice law firm for ten years.
